ANDREW TRUMAN KIM

Andrew Truman Kim is the Managing Broker & CEO for Gateway Equity Partners. Andrew has over 10 years of experience in commercial real estate. Andrew has managed over $17 million in real estate investment and private equity deal value. In the past, Andrew has been a U.S. congressional staffer and campaign manager - specializing in small business development, workforce development, rural development and countless economic development programs and battleground campaigns. Andrew first began his work with Congressman John Garamendi back in 2008, during his time as California’s Lieutenant Governor, fundraising for a gubernatorial campaign. Andrew later joined AmeirCorps VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America), spearheading anti-poverty and community development programs. As a commercial landlord, Andrew owns, manages and operates commercial & residential properties - focused on serving startup founders, entrepreneurs, and the growing workforce in California. In 2018, Andrew helped realize the approval of the first zero net energy affordable student housing project in Davis, designed to provide significant affordable housing and ultimately housing for 2,000 young residents. Andrew is a Certified Project Manager from Stanford University and a proud UC Davis alumnus.

DANIEL PARRELLA

Daniel Parrella is the Director of Development for Gateway Equity Partners. Daniel Parrella worked as a real estate agent in the Sacramento region for five years before transitioning to development with a focus on urban infill projects. Daniel focuses on underutilized properties with challenging entitlement issues. Daniel has also dozens of syndicated deals with investors for distressed assets in Northern and Central California. As the Director of Development, Daniel specializes in multifamily and mixed use projects in core areas. Daniel focuses on underutilized properties with challenging entitlement issues.

TIM RUFF
Board of Directors & Advisor
Tim Ruff is a Real Estate Broker and Board of Directors for Gateway Equity Partners. Tim also is the Principal for Norcal Land, a diversified real estate brokerage and development company. Mr. Ruff has 30 years of experience in land acquisition and sales, entitlement of residential and agricultural subdivisions, financing residential, agricultural, and commercial land and developing sustainable real estate projects. Mr. Ruff has sold over 1,000 acres of land, representing farmers, builders and public entities. Mr. Ruff is a proud UC Davis Alumnus and his family has been very active in the City of Davis. Mr. Ruff serves solely in an advisory manor to Gateway Realty Partners; his brokerage license is not affiliated with Gateway Realty Partners.
MICHAEL MILLER
Associate
Michael Miller is an Associate for Gateway Equity Partners, and is dedicated to your individual case from beginning to the end of each transaction, project and/or service inquiry. Michael’s differentiated value is incorporating best practices from management consulting and strategic project management for every client. He will assist with developing and executing the customized "pathway to victory" plan for each client. In addition to being a Case Manager, Michael is also an Office Assistant to CA State Senator Jim Beall. He previously worked with the Innovation & Sustainability PAC as a Project Coordinator where he aided in promoting the growth of environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Michael was a volunteer organizer on Mariko Yamada’s campaign for CA State Senate. Michael is passionate about the development of affordable housing for all Californians. He is a UC Davis alumnus with a B.A. in Political Science as well as Economics.

MATTHEW JOACHIM

Matthew Joachim is an Associate for Gateway Equity Partners, and is dedicated to your individual case from beginning to the end of each transaction, project, and/or service inquiry. Matthew’s differentiated value is incorporating best practices from management consulting and strategic project management for every client. He will assist with developing and executing the customized "pathway to victory" plan for each client. In addition to his work with Gateway Realty Partners, Matthew continues the work of his family’s thriving art business, servicing art shows and symposiums to maintain relationships with its nationwide client base. Matthew is an alumnus of the University of California, Davis with a B.A. in Economics.

PATRICK CURZON
Portfolio Manager
Patrick Curzon is a Client Service Program Manager for Gateway Equity Partners. Patrick works with the Project Manager team and the Acquisition Director making sure each client is getting a customized “pathway to victory” plan. His background in project and program management allows him to help make unique strategies for each individual client. Patrick is also an Senior Associate for Spafford & Lincoln and Portfolio Manager for the Innovation & Sustainability PAC. Patrick was previously the Deputy Campaign Manager for the Yolo County Democratic Party where he helped lead the successful campaigns for a Congressman, State Assemblymember, and a State Senator. He was also a Program Manager for the Sustainable Future PAC, where he was part of the managing team for over 100 field staff. Patrick is an alumnus of the University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Statistics.
